You the people: "'It is not possible for anyone to understand the full text [of the EU constitution],' declared Valery Giscard d'Estaing. 'Europe's Jefferson' has apparently become Europe's Jefferson Airplane, boasting about the impenetrability of his hallucinogenic lyrics."

Here's another one: "'I really believe the French and Dutch did not vote no to the constitutional treaty,' insisted Jean-Claude Juncker, the "President" of "Europe", continuing to celebrate his stunning victory in the referendum."

I know that some of the intentions behind the constitution and greater EU integration may be noble (after all such sentences please insert "except in the case of the French government"), but it is really quite fascinating watching the whole thing fall apart.
