The good lady on the BBC seems particularly shocked at the fact that plain clothes cops have shot somebody on the tube after a frantic chase.

She keeps repeating with an incredulous tone in her voice that the shooting was apparently "without warning". Her voice carries a tone of ominous worry when she repeats that the man was reportedly of Asian origin. To one interviewer she stridently raises her voice to emphasize that she doesn't wonder people will be afraid to use the tube now if police go around "shooting people dead at their feet!".

I think people blowing themselves up must be a little more attention getting.

The BBC is the organization which within hours of the 7/7 bombings forbade its journalists to use the word "terrorists" in talking about the terrorists who blew 56 people into many pieces.
