1. An American hears about one of the most popular cars in eastern Europe and decides to order a Trabant. A few weeks later, it arrives from Europe. Later at his local bar, he tells his friends, "it's an amazing company. They've sent me in advance a perfect plastic model of how the car will look."
2. A rich American is telling his friend about an east German car he's heard of. He wants to get one to add to his collection of expensive rare motors. "I mean," he says, "it must be very expensive. They told me people have to save for five years just to be able to afford one."
